How to use & care
Using the 221 Compact Lever Wire Connectors is incredibly straightforward. First, ensure the power to the circuit is turned off for safety. Strip approximately 9-11 mm of insulation from the end of each wire. Lift the orange operating lever on the connector to its open position. Insert the stripped wire completely into the open clamping unit, ensuring no bare conductor is visible outside the connector. Push the lever back down until it clicks into place, securing the wire firmly. Repeat this process for all wires you wish to connect. The transparent housing allows you to visually confirm correct wire insertion, a critical step for safety and performance.
Caring for your 221 Compact Lever Wire Connectors involves keeping them clean and stored properly. Always store them in their original case or a similar protective container to prevent damage and keep them free from dust and debris. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals, which could compromise their material integrity. While these connectors are designed for durability, inspect them for any signs of damage before use, such as cracks in the housing or bent levers. Proper usage and storage will ensure the longevity and reliability of your connectors for many projects to come.
